✨ “If I fold 1,000 paper cranes, I will surely get well again!”
Though young Sadako, a victim of the atomic bomb, eventually lost her battle with illness, her story and her paper cranes continue to inspire children around the world.

Facilitated by Koay Suat Erh, Part-time Lecturer in Children’s Literature at New Era University College, the session will feature:
Picture book – Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes | Shiho Umino (Japan)
Animation – Journey to Hiroshima | Daisaku Ikeda (Japan)

The programme will conclude with a hands-on parent-child activity: folding your own paper crane.
Suitable for children aged 6–10. Parents are warmly encouraged to join, share a memorable family moment, and nurture children’s imagination and appreciation for peace.
